Taro, Cabbage and Ground Chicken Salad
I was getting bored with simple simmered taro, so I wanted to try it in a salad too. You can peel the taro root first before boiling them in Step 1. If you are using pork, you can leave out the grated ginger. If you add a little chopped red chili pepper it will be nice and spicy. For 2-3 servings. Recipe by Miyumato
Potato Salad with Fried Onions
I added the fried onions, which I often keep saved in the fridge, in a potato salad. I mix the ingredients in a plastic bag since I can feel the doneness by touch. One less dish to wash. Corn is great for this salad but any ingredients you see in potato salads, like cucumbers or ham, would be nice too! Recipe by yoco152
Easy-To-Eat Coleslaw with Sushi Vinegar
I made this mild tasting coleslaw for my children, who don't like sour food that much. I tried the sushi vinegar as a dressing first, but found out that it works better and makes for a more delicious and easy to eat coleslaw when used as a marinade. Now my kids can eat it by the bowlful. Drain the vegetables marinated in sushi vinegar very well. This way you can prevent them from becoming too wet as time goes on, and you can keep enjoying it. It's best to cut up the vegetables so that you can still enjoy their crunchy texture. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Toiroiro
Coleslaw Salad
I Love coleslaw and wanted to make it at home. It's simple, but I can't stop eating it. It's popular in my family. Squeeze out the water from the cabbage well. This keeps the salad from becoming too watery and retains the flavor. Recipe by Nacchi sencho
Miso Butter Udon Noodles
I wanted to eat miso ramen, but only had udon noodles, so I made this dish and it was delicious! You can add bean sprouts. Season with ra-yu or shichimi spice. Adjust the seasonings to taste. Recipe by Akkorin mama
Whole Grilled Tomato Salad
This one is a very simple recipe, with canned tuna just stuffed into a tomato. Although it's quite easy, it's still a very tasty and elegant dish. If you take a small slice off the bottom of the tomato, it will sit a lot better. Add any other vegetables of your choice! For 2 servings. Recipe by yukihapi
Our Family's Potato Salad
This is one of my favorite side dishes to serve, along with coleslaw, which is similar in flavor to this. I recommend using baking potato for this. It tastes better if you steam or boil the potatoes. When cooling, make sure they don't dry out. If you don't have kombu tea, use dashi stock granules (or consommé soup stock, but use anything you have). Or, just adjust the seasoning with salt. Drain the cucumber, corn, and boiled sausages very well. Chop up the onion very finely. For 2 servings. Recipe by Sabumochi
Bean and Cottage Cheese Salad
I made this healthy, colorful and nutritionally balanced salad with my favorite ingredients, mixed beans and cottage cheese. *The tomato and cucumber are cut into 1.5-2 cm cubes. I thinly sliced the onion, but you can also chop it too. *Soak the onions in water if desired (I used Early Red) *For the oil, I recommend Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Recipe by rose12
