  13. 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  14. 1 teaspoons chilli lime seasoning
  15. 2 boxes jiffy cornbread mix plus
  16. 2/3 cup Milk and 2 eggs for Cornbread
  17. 1 (10 oz) can red enchilada sauce
  18. 2 1/2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  19. Paprika and chilli powder
  20. Sour cream
  21. Salsa

Steps to make a Tamale casserole

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees then mix cornbread mix with eggs and milk per package directions

Grease a 13×9 inch dish and spread cornbread batter in and bake for 15 minutes or till it's lightly brown

Cook ground beef with onion till brown then drain. Return back to skillet and mix in corn, black beans, green chilli's, and all seasonings. Continue to simmer on low till cornbread is ready

Poke rows of holes in baked cornbread. (I used the handle of a wooden spoon) Then pour enchilada sauce on top evenly

Top with ground beef mixture and then sprinkle on cheese then lightly sprinkle on paprika and chilli powder on top

Spray a sheet of foil with cooking oil and cover dish and bake for 20 minutes covered then 15 minutes uncovered. Serve with sour cream and or salsa if desired and enjoy ! 😉
