  3. 1 tsp baking powder
  4. 1 tsp baking soda
  5. 1/8 tsp salt
  6. 1/2 c melted unsalted butter (I used plant based)
  7. 1/3 cup brown sugar
  8. 2 tbs honey
  9. 1 egg (room temp)
  10. 1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)

Steps to make a Cornbread

Preheat oven to 350. Grease/lightly flour a square pan (8x8 or 9x9). Add cornmeal, flour, baking soda & paking powder into a large mixing bowl. Toss ingredients.

Mix together melted butter, brown sugar & honey. Whisk then whisk egg. Then whisk in buttermilk. Pour wet into dry ingredients & whisk. Do not over mix.

Pour batter into pan. Let bake 20 -25 minutes. Once done, wrap leftovers in aluminum foil.
