Pan Fried Corn Pone my version

Pan Fried Corn Pone my version

Everyone in the South, Central areas of America, and various other places, have their version. The origin is from Native Americans. They originally made thick batters and formed it in their hands. Then they would deep fry in animal fat, steam in green corn husk, or boil them. Some even cooked them dry and hard for trips to take and eat. There is many versions of this some use hot water mixed with the dough, buttermilk, milk, or any numerous ways and ingredients. This is why I call this my version. I have 3 options in the method of cooking this one is nonstick spray, fry in oil, and a very large diameter cake. I just hope if you give it a try that you enjoy!! I am very thankful for the Native American People for their contributions that they hardly get credit for. They even invented popcorn!!!

Creamy Corn Toasts

Creamy Corn Toasts

#mysterybox2 Creamy Corn Toasts is a delicious breakfast dish which can even double up as an evening snack or even as a light dinner. Just as the name suggests, the overall taste is creamy and when teamed with whole wheat bread, it becomes healthy too! Sweet corn has a number of health benefits and it’s sweet taste imparts a wonderful flavour to the dishes in which it is used! In this recipe, I have ground 2/3 rd of the boiled corn to make it creamy and teamed it with some white sauce. The rest of the corn has been kept whole for the added crunch! The cheddar and pizza cheese just adds up to the overall taste and makes this dish quite filling too!

So, my sisters and I would experiment with the bread and this was my best recipe It's got a great homemade taste. If you toast until the top is crispy, the bottom will burn. So, if you want it to be crispy, put aluminum foil under the toast midway through!! Recipe by Bigitan

You can add 1/2 a cup of frozen corn and/or a couple of Tablespoons of chopped jalapeños if you like. Very lightly sweet, moist and yummy. Hope you enjoy. :)
