Roast Corn Rice with Canned Corn
My mother makes steamed corn, and I always roast it with soy sauce. I really love that, but I wondered if it'd go with rice? I like flavored rice better than white rice. So I used a can of corn I had on hand, and added plenty of ginger to come up with this deep flavor. You don't even need a side dish! Fresh corn is in season in the summer. This is easy to make once you roast the corn - it's cheap and has a good texture. My husband had the idea of adding butter, which turned out to be delicious. Use lots of corn for a nice texture, and minced ginger for a better flavor. Helps to fight off the summer chills. Works as a main dish that doesn't need a side. Recipe by Umashinokunino junin
So Sweet! Steamed Corn on the Cob
I heard that cooking corn on the cob while they're still in their husks helps to keep the sweetness from seeping out, so now I always use this method. The most important point is to steam the corn with the husks. Their sweet flavor won't escape and they will be so delicious~ I think it's best to use a cast metal, non-stick pot, or an earthenware pot. Recipe by kazz72
Easy Microwaved Corn in the Husk!
This method recommended to me by a co-worker. When I tried it out, I was so amazed by how the flavors transferred from the husk. If the outside layer of the husk is really dirty, peel off 1 or 2 layers. In addition to the aroma of the corn, the husk releases moisture which steam cooks the corn. When you remove it from the microwave and remove the wrap, be careful not to burn yourself. Recipe by Okaraseijin
