Taste the batter before you add each spoonful of syrup as I have quite a sweet tooth and you may not need as much. I used 3 tbsp milk in the batter but I think possibly using wheat flour you might not need any additional liquid at all. The kids loved it and I'll be experimenting with amazake more in the near future!

I wanted to make a salad like the type sold in supermarkets. I know I'm being redundant, but this does make a huge amount. But it's so popular in our family that we can eat it all up. You can use store-bought dressing of course. I think that sesame dressing goes best with this, but you can use another dressing to your taste... Dress the salad just before serving. Be sure to pat all the ingredients dry before adding them so that the salad doesn't get too wet. Recipe by Oshisu

Mini Chocolate Parfait with Strawberries and Bananas

Mini Chocolate Parfait with Strawberries and Bananas

This is a dessert that's made with bananas and chocolate sauce. I often made this when my children were small. This is a variation off the "Chocolate Banana Tart",. It's also good without the custard. Make it however you like. For Step 1, let the custard cream cool, then chill well before use. This custard cream isn't so sweet so please adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste. For Step 2, I used 3 pieces of sponge cake cut into 3 cm cubes. You can drizzle the chocolate sauce over the granola as well. Make this parfait however you like. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221
