Steps to make a Cornbread moist and cheesy

1
place pan or muffin tins in oven and preheat oven to 400° this is a double batch recipe so you will need two muffin tins or two 8 inch rounds or one large dish. I use a cast iron pan.
2
Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until fully incorperated.
3
Take pan out of oven and spray non stick Pam or put a pat of butter. Then pour the batter into the hot pan.
4
At this point you could place a jalepenos on top.

bake for about 20 minutes. You want the top to be golden brown and a brown crust on the bottom.
6
This cornbread is so moist and delicious. It is slightly sweet when I use brown sugar. If you like your cornbread sweeter add a bit more sugar.

Refreshing Chinese Cabbage Cole Slaw

I wanted to use up leftover Chinese cabbage. The core of the Chinese cabbage is easy to slice with a slicer, but the leaves can be tricky, so I recommend using a knife. Also try substituting tuna, crab sticks, or fish sausage for ham. For about 4 servings. Recipe by Emacchi mama

One Pan Cooking: Moist Shio-Koji "Roast" Pork

One Pan Cooking: Moist Shio-Koji "Roast" Pork

I've been trying all kinds of recipes using homemade shio-koji. Shio-koji brings out the natural umami in food, so I tried making a simple 'roast' pork with it. It was more delicious than I imagined, so I think I'n becoming an even bigger shio-koji fan now. Even the fat is amazingly tasty. This is dangerous since I keep overeating! Make sure to brown the surface of the pork belly block all over first. Then cook the meat while adjusting the heat level until the meat is cooked through and bounces back when you poke it, shaking the frying pan occasionally and turning the meat. If you cut through it and you're not sure it's cooked through, fry the slices in a pan or microwave briefly. I marinated the meat in shio-koji for 5 days this time. For 3 to 4 servings.
